Relax Moon Milk Recipe

A calming herbal ‘milk’ that’s perfect to enjoy as part of your evening routine, to relax at the end of a long day. Unwind with this delicious night-time soother. Nutmeg has also been used traditionally to support a good night’s slumber. And adding cardamom and cinnamon helps the plant milk become more easily digested.
Tips for the doshas:
This is especially good for vata types to settle busy minds and calm the nervous digestion However, all dosha types can benefit from this ‘Moon milk’ though with a kapha dominance are advised to minimise adding coconut sugar, favouring honey instead as the best sweetener for kapha.
What you need
2 Relax tea bags
200 ml of plant-based milk of your choice – we like oat milk
2-3 (gently crushed/split) cardamom pods
Cinnamon and nutmeg
Honey or coconut sugar to taste
What you do
Gently simmer your favourite plant-based milk in a pan with two Relax tea bags and 2-3 crushed cardamon pods for 5-10 minutes until infused
When ready, whisk for a foam top (optional)
Sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg on top for extra spice
