Spiced Vanilla Hot Chocolate Recipe

Curl up with a good book or get cosy with friends whilst enjoying our Spiced Vanilla Hot Chocolate recipe. Made with our aromatic Vanilla Chai tea, this blend of cacao, organic vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, fennel and licorice is a delicate and grounding mix of warmth and spice.
2 Pukka Vanilla Chai tea bags
2 tablespoons of organic cacao powder or organic hot chocolate powder
350 ml plant-based milk
¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract
Pinch of cinnamon
1 teaspoon of honey to taste (it will most likely need a bit of honey if you’re using cacao powder)
What you do
In a small saucepan, bring 200ml of water to a gentle boil
Remove the water from the heat, add the Vanilla Chai Pukka tea bags to make your tea concentrate
Let it steep for 10 minutes then remove the tea bags
Add 250ml of the plant-based milk, cacao powder, vanilla extract, honey and cinnamon to the pan with your tea concentrate and slowly heat your ingredients until ready
Froth or whisk the remainder of your milk, and add to the top of your hot chocolate, and sprinkle with cacao nibs, cacao powder or cinnamon and serve and enjoy.
